Today's outdoor power equipment provides an efficient means for the maintenance of our natural managed environments, such as lawns, landscapes, parks, sports fields, golf courses, and forests.

Since 1997, when the first emissions regulations went into effect, OPEI's many environmentally responsible manufacturers have introduced new technologies, engineered to reduce the total contribution of smog-forming emissions from all of today's lawn and garden equipment. Once the EPA Phase 3 regulations are fully implemented, the outdoor power equipment industry will have reduced emissions by 95%.
