FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

OPEI Launches Internet Job Listings

March 2001, Alexandria, Virginia -- The Outdoor Power Equipment Institute (OPEI) has announced a new service for job listings in the outdoor power equipment industry. As part of OPEI's home page, CyberLawn, this new feature is open to everyone with an interest in the industry's job market and it will be readily accessible and cost effective. Employers will pay a small fee for their listing; OPEI members will receive a discount: and it is free to job seekers.

The whole process is very easy: industry employers with position openings need only to go to CyberLawn, located at http://opei.mow.org/, click on "Job Listings", fill out forms online, and a few clicks later their ad will be posted for 30 days. And it's even easier for job seekers: they just need to look and read. Bill Harley, OPEI President and CEO says "We're pleased to offer one more value-added service to our members as well as non-members in the industry. At the same time, this will be another step toward creating a one-stop, all-inclusive, must-visit Web site for the industry."

This service will be promoted extensively throughout the industry including EXPO 2001 in Louisville, Kentucky, July 20-22, 2001. Employers and job seekers should stop by the OPEI booth in the south wing of the Kentucky Fair and Exposition Center for more information.

OPEI is a trade association whose membership is primarily composed of U.S. manufacturers of powered lawn and garden maintenance products, components and attachment supplies, as well as industry related services. OPEI's domestic members manufacture in excess of 95% of the U.S. consumer retail market for gas and electric powered lawn and garden maintenance products. For further information on safety and other related industry topics, OPEI hosts a web site on the Internet at http://opei.mow.org.
