EXPO
2001 VISITORS CAN LEARN, DISCUSS, AND RELAX AT OPEI's BOOTH
Alexandria,
VA, June 22, 2001-- Visitors can enjoy EXPO 2001 at OPEI's booth:
a great place to learn the benefits of OPEI membership; pick up
useful safety tips and other industry information; ask industry
questions; give input to OPEI staff; see Internet demonstrations
and more.
Live
at the booth, this year, will be OPEI's new job listings on the
Internet. All attendees, especially job seekers, are invited to
come in and browse the ads. And, employers with position openings
may post them on OPEI's site right there in the booth during EXPO.
Also
featured at the booth will be OPEI's highly successful industry
image program that aired this spring on PBS stations nationwide.
Titled "Spotlight on Yard Care Technology", this video places
a very positive light on the industry by focusing on environmentally
helpful aspects of the newest technologies. An estimated 3 million
PBS program viewers were reached during the spring season.
Bill
Harley, OPEI President and CEO, says "Our goal is to raise the
OPEI flag at the show and provide an information service for all
attendees, members and non-members alike."
Visitors
can see all this and much more at booth number 3110 in the South
Wing.
OPEI
is a trade association whose membership is primarily composed
of U.S. manufacturers of powered lawn and garden maintenance products,
components and attachment supplies, as well as industry-related
services. OPEI's domestic members manufacture in excess of 95%
of the U.S. consumer retail market for gas and electric powered
lawn and garden maintenance products.
